BIOGRAPHY

Angela Medrano

Angela Medrano joins the Intertribal Court of Southern California with broad experience serving the California Indian community. She is a sole practitioner operating her own private practice focused on general civil and estate matters as well as tribal and federal Indian law. Ms. Medrano also provides support to other practitioners on a contract basis in the areas of personal injury and workers' compensation. In addition to practicing law, Ms. Medrano has assisted tribal people and tribes by coordinating and implementing various projects involving land surveys, leasing and easements, developing tribal law, grant application and administration, economic development, land use, infrastructure and construction, tribal TANF 

(Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), tribal gaming regulation, and small business establishment and development.

Ms. Medrano is a member of the Cahuilla Band of Indians, located in California's Riverside County, and has served on various committees, commissions, and boards for her tribe. She has also served on the board for the California Indian Law Association and is the president of the San Diego County Native American Lawyers Association. Ms. Medrano graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in sociology and psychology. She received her J.D. from the University of San Diego.
