John Messina
John A. Messina, Jr., Esq., is a founding partner and the head of Messina & Hankin LLP’s Temecula Valley office in Murrieta, California. With a unique background that includes experience as a broker, real estate developer, and mortgage banker, Mr. Messina brings a comprehensive understanding of the real estate and business industries to his practice of complex litigation and transactions. His expertise is further enhanced by a team of attorneys who are experts in complex tax, bankruptcy, and employment law. Messina & Hankin LLP employs experts in computer forensics and digital discovery. This unique capability allows his team to gather Electronically Stored Information (ESI) in its native format and have it admitted as evidence.
Mr. Messina's impressive career includes litigating complex cases in State and Federal Courts and arguing and prevailing in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also been appointed a Special Master in the Los Angeles Superior Court, a Judge with the Intertribal Court of Southern California, and a representative of business entities, government agencies, and individuals in civil litigation. His practice covers various areas, including corporate and real estate finance matters, contracts, land use, and business torts.

Mr. Messina also represents clients in non-litigation matters, including business organization, real estate leases, and purchase contracts. As a preeminent attorney, Mr. Messina has authored and published numerous articles in his field, providing comprehensive instructions on drafting real estate agreements. He is also a Reserve Deputy Sherriff for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department with the Rank of Reserve Captain and head of the Reserve Investigative Reserve Unit.
